![]() ![]() “Hey, there,” she whispered and rubbed the cat’s head. (y/n) opened her eyes and saw the most beautiful cat she had ever seen – or remembered to have seen, at least. Something jumped quickly on the bed and started rubbing its furred body against (y/n)’s face. And she suddenly heard soft tapping on the floor of their room. Newt was sleeping spread eagle on his stomach, and (y/n) had no other choice but to sleep on top of him. (y/n) thought more than once that he slept in the Kitchens instead of going with the others.Īnd so they all remained asleep for a little while more. It was pretty early in the morning still, and no one seemed capable of waking up just yet. No one complained.Īnother day in the Glade. Just because it was the first thing that apparently crossed his mind. The dog turned out to be a she, and Thomas automatically started calling her Lady. (y/n) let out a laugh as she opened the crate.Īs soon as (y/n) got the puppy in her arms and showed it to them, they all sighed in relief. When she got closer to the crate in question, she heard quiet whines and something scratching the inside of the crate. (y/n) shrugged it off and jumped back down, much to Thomas's dismay. Winston had got outside the Box too, and now the boys – and girl - were looking down at the Box. ![]() “There’s something inside one of the crates!” he shouted. “What’s wrong, Tom? What is it!?” she asked as soon as she got close to him. Thomas screamed and got out of the Box as fast as he could, drawing the attention of at least half of the Gladers, (y/n) included. Winston was there in the Box with him, and he found it weird too.īut when the crate started to make sounds, they lost it. One of the crates was strangely heavier than any other crate, for some odd reason. Thomas had the day off and had been one of the boys to help load up the crates with supplies. This time, though, there was something else. Another week, another arrival of the Box with supplies.
